Disciplines and Ideas in Social Sciences

New product

Culturally-sensitive instruction. Presents data, information and exercises from a variety of cultural situations, geographic conditions and social statuses that encompass national life so that Filipinos from all over the country could enjoy instruction in an inclusive atmosphere and intellectual environment that is free from cultural prejudice, gender insensitivity, political and religious intolerance and economic and social bias.

Group dynamics and discussion. Promotes and challenges the students to go beyond the lessons and practice collective thinking by engaging real social issues with their peers and classmates so that they can altogether develop intellectually as students of ideas in the social sciences. It also contributes in measuring how much learning has been operationalized in the level of the learner.

End-of-chapter reflection. Not losing track of what has just been discussed and explored in the chapter, the end-of-chapter reflection discards the usual mechanical recollection of information but a more active and operational end to the chapter - reflection. This particular aspect promises to innovate from the long-cherished tradition in textbook/workbook writing in the country.
