Tailoring is a course in home economics under Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) for grade 12 students under the K to 12 curriculum. It aims to introduce to the students the complex interrelationship of sewing different garments for entrepreneurial venture and to develop their knowledge and skills in selecting, designing, and constructing these garments.

This book is designed to be a teacher-assisted learning kit, however it could also be a self-learning kit for those who simply wants to have a background in tailoring garments. It covers the core competencies of producing (1) polo shirts, (2) barongs, (3) blazers, and (4) men’s trousers. Upon course completion, the students are expected to have acquired the learning competencies in this specialization and qualify them for a National Certificate II (NC II).
